My body transformation - Part 2 - Freshman year college
Next chapter, college…
You know, when you get to college and people start to warn you about freshman 15? (for those you don't know or didn't attend college, it is when incoming freshman gain 15 pounds because of easy to access cafeteria food). If freshman 15 was a game, I would have been top 10 EASY.
I turned freshman 15 into freshman 25 by midterms of my second semester.
Around this same time, is when COVID-19 hit. We all got send home for spring break. But instead of going home, I went and lived with my buddies in one of their parents house; about 4 hours away from my Uni. We then got told that we wouldn’t return to on-campus courses due to COVID for the rest of the semester.
Side note: I am forever grateful to my buddy's father, who is the most hospitable man for, amongst other things, tolerating and housing me. Thank you Jerry.
Jerry also COOKED. And I mean, this man threw down in the kitchen, and I was loving every meal.
Fast forward to the start of my sophomore year of enjoying some home cooked meals for an extended summer…. I was nearing 190lbs again.
I almost gave up. Only 30 pounds away from my highest weight ever, and I was questioning everything again.
Had I changed a thing?
Was it really all a fluke?
I was a failure.
"No" I told myself. "This isn't me. I am going to make a change".
Next chapter, the comeback.
